MANUAL VALVES |
A device that controls and regulates the flow of fluids within a system (liquids, gases or slurries) by closing and opening or even acting as a form of obstruction in partially blockage of various passageways. It is an important fitting that can be found useful in many of our daily lives, whether acting as a medium in gas control within our kitchen cookers or even safety internal devices that are fitted to our hot water / heater systems.
Far from being just a form of residential solution, valves are also widely found to be an integral part of today's many industrial processes. Valves in the forms of cast steel gate valves; forged steel gate valves; floating ball valves; threaded ball valves and so many others are vital, if not life-dependent for the functionality and performance of many industrial systems. Industries that includes on-shore and off marine; oil and gas; water and sewage processing; chemical production; power generation; to even water treatment plants, valves are found aplenty throughout these systems, aiding smooth passageways to and fro from one part to the other destination of the entire plant, closing or re-direction of flow at will with great ease of control.
As its name would have suggested, manual valves are non-automatic valves that operates manually through a manual operator, which could have come in the form of either of these: a hand lever; a handle; pedals; or even a full wheel steering experience. The primary act of a manual valve is used in stopping or starting flow (Block or better known as On-Off valves), although certain designs can also be used for basic throttling.
